Summary
Marmari is amongst the best destinations in Greece when it comes to reliable wind. Due to the shape of the mountains, a venturi effect is created through the small straight between Euboea Island and Petalios Island. This effect is the strongest with a Meltemi (Northern) wind. You can expect winds from 15 to 35 knots so we recommend bringing 7-12 meter kites. You will use your 9m the most. The spot also works with South, West and North-west winds. The biggest city in the are is about 20kms from Marmari, this coastline offers beautiful blue waters and nice waves for downwinders when the South winds blow.

Marmari is a spot of unique beauty and unmatched wind conditions. The surf center is located on the beach and just five minute drive from the small fishermen village of Marmari. In front of the center is a big sandy beach with plenty of space to set up your equipment and to land/launch your kite. The spot has incredible sunsets and a nice view of the Petalios Islands. The amazing quality of wind in this area will allow you to practice everyday and make sure your skills progress during your stay. In addition to kiteboarding, you will experience the real Greece, the hospitality and the amazing food far from the touristic centres of the well-known islands.
In addition to the unbeatable kiteboarding conditions, Evia Island is full of outdoor adventure and exploration. Follow ancient footpaths to scenic villages, visit remote villages or bike through the mountains for exceptional views.

-4x4: We invite you for an off-road excursion, get the chance to drive a Toyota Rav 4 in soil and have lunch at Metochi, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Mediterranean. -Mountain Biking: Bike along the coast and into the mountains to see historic villages, medieval towers, bridges and castles. -Trekking: Choose from 30+ designated hiking and trekking trails with varying difficulties. Treks range from half day-3 day trips. Explore ancient footpaths, scenic villages and breathtaking waterfalls.
Getting There
From the airport it's a 15 minutes drive to Rafina port. You can either take a taxi or ask us to arrange your pickup. At Rafina port, take the ferry to Marmari (50 minutes / 9€ pp). We'll pick you up at the port of Marmari.
